Daniel K. Inouye International Airport

Honolulu, HI

blue adrift

Surfers patiently await the next set of waves, unknown yet inevitable. Amid the day’s accumulated stress, peace is found in the balance of cyclic highs and stillnessan escape that quiets all worries.

Tides of Pattern

Captured just meters off the shore of East Honolulu, fragmented coral reefs are dispersed beneath the surface. What may seem like mere hues of blue and intricate patterns from above are, in fact, vital homes to many of Hawaii’s beloved species.

The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport underwent a $270 million expansion in 2021– its largest gate expansion since 1993. I was honored to be given the privilege of showcasing two of my pieces in the newly-developed Mauka Concourse, located at the north-west wing of the airport.
